Brief History

2010~ NOW 2010.03 The Green School (Graduate School of Energy, Environment Policy & Technology) is established.
2010.03 The Department of Information Management is renamed the School of Industrial Management Engineering.
2010.07 Prof. Manyoung Sung is named the Dean of the College of Engineering.
2011.03 The Graduate School of Technology Management is established.
2011.10 The Robotics Convergence Building is completed.
2011.10 The opening ceremony of the Green Manufacturing Research Center (GMRC) is held.
2011.11 The event for the Engineer’s Day is held.
2012.01 The Nano Technology Laboratory is established.
2012.02 A ceremony to mark the industry and academia collaboration with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) is held, signaling the establishment of the KU-KIST School.
2012.03 The Next Generation Internet Research Center, which is part of the College of Engineering, is renamed the Electronic Engineering Research Institute.
2012.06 All departments of the College of Engineering break into the top 100 in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings.
2012.07 Prof. Soowon Chae is named the Dean of the College of Engineering.
2012.09 The KU-KIST Graduate School of Converging Science and Technology is established.
2013.09 College of Engineering projects win awards in all categories of the BK21 PLUS program.
2013.10 The ground-breaking ceremony of the New Engineering Hall is held.
2013.10 The 50th Anniversary of the foundation of the College of Engineering and the 2013 Engineer’s Day are held.
2014.04 The School of Electrical, Electronic, and Electric Wave Engineering is renamed the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
