Seok Bin Son, a Ph.D. student in the AI and Mobility Lab (Advisor: Professor Joongheon Kim) at the School of Electrical Engineering, Korea University, together with Professor Soohyun Park of Sookmyung Women’s University (an alumnus of the same lab), has received the Best Runner-Up Poster Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS), one of the world’s most prestigious conferences in the field of computer science.
 

IEEE ICDCS is recognized as a BK21 Outstanding International Conference and is highly regarded worldwide in the area of distributed computing. This award represents a significant achievement for Professor Joongheon Kim’s research team, showcasing the international recognition of their excellence in distributed systems and AI algorithm research.
 

The award-winning work, co-authored by Son and Park, was honored for its creativity and scholarly contribution, further highlighting the team’s capability to produce impactful research in the global academic community.
