Jaewoong Ahn, a Ph.D. candidate in the BASIC Lab led by Professor Hyung-Min Lee at the Korea University School of Electrical Engineering, has been selected as a recipient of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) Predoctoral Achievement Award.

The SSCS Predoctoral Achievement Award is a prestigious honor presented to outstanding doctoral students in the field of solid-state circuits worldwide. Recipients are selected based on comprehensive evaluation of their academic contributions, including publications in leading international journals and conferences, international patents, awards, and letters of recommendation.

Established in 1983, the award has recognized many of the world’s leading researchers in semiconductor circuit design over the past four decades and is widely regarded as one of the most distinguished honors for graduate students in the field.

Award recipients receive a certificate, a $1,000 honorarium, and an additional $1,500 travel grant to support conference participation. The award ceremony was held on February 15, 2026, during the IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) in San Francisco, California, USA.
